The kids at my wedding did not, however I needed a minimum of 35 for my private reception, and they counted towards that 35, so maybe that's why? As for at the resort, I'm pretty sure their room was a little bit cheaper.

I think they do. I would contact your travel agent. it's been almost a year since we went, so I really don't recall completely. For all I know, kids might stay free at the resort.

i do believe kids 12 and under are free as far as the A/I part goes. i do NOT know if that is the same with all booking venues, or just with the agent i used.

I know that we have discussed this in the past- but I can't go through over 100 pages of posts again....

So, I am going to have approximately 20-30 guests with me- and we are maxed out on our budget, so I am thinking about not paying extra for the private reception.... so what are my options- because the way I was reading the package is that you have to have a set menu after 10 people, but does that mean that you can all make reservations to go to the same place and not pay the additional? I personally don't care about it being "private" When I was at the Bahia, I saw a wedding party eating at the buffet all together. They won't charge any extra for that, do they?

The wedding package includes a meal up to 30 I believe. It's at the ala cart restaurant and it doesn't cost extra. Which restaurant depends on which resort you are staying in. Then you will choose the menu item that you want served and they will block off a section of the restaurant for you.

After that, most people go to the hacienda or to the lobby bars for live music and dancing. That way, it doesn't cost you any extra! :)
