Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

That is awesome that your TA is giving you the lower price...mine told me that when we book we are locked in....*sigh*......As a quick side note...In June Paloma confirmed the Tequila restaurant for our dinner aloong with several other things that were confirmed through that email....and last week jazmin emailed me saying that the tequila restaurant is "not available" and when I questioned her about the fact that is had already been confirmed she said that Paloma meant that the restaurant was open that day....However all the other things paloma confirmed in that email were still good...So they basically gave our restaurant away and then tried to make it seem like it was our fault because we misinterpreted the email which was not the case. Needless to say , on top of all this last minute running around Jazmin has me doing to get a long form birth certificate, then translated, then notarized then stamped by the embassy...I am really worried that i'm going to get down there...and things are going to fall apart, and suddenly not be booked/confirmed...Sorry about the little rant, but we are sooo close to the date and i'm getting upset by all this pandemonium

Don't worry, like Calchik said, Jazmin wouldn't give your wedding date away without a confirmation from you. Maybe you should just call her so you can rest tonight. I was having a lot of trouble getting Jazmin to respond so I called her and got all the answers I needed. They just work crazy hours down there....not that that will make you feel any better.

i too am freaking out. i emailed paloma yesterday asking if i can book my reception time and she tells me she doesn't even have my wedding on the agenda. wtf.gif my travel agent arranged my wedding date and confirmation so i have to wait for him to get back to me. i'm really hoping she's just saying that and won't deal with me until she's seen my confirmation. otherwise i'm going to cry cuz everything else i've planned based on my wedding date is now useless.

magaliscious - does your matron of honour realize how big the resort is? i'm guessing it wouldn't be that hard for her to avoid her ex
Hey Calchik,

I went through the same thing with my TA earlier - she had said she'd do everything, but when it came down to it, she had really only just arranged the flights (what she gets commission for) and didn't do anything else (which she only admitted to when I confronted her later). So my advice would be to confirm a date with Paloma yourself - the worse that will happen is that your TA will have done it too and you'll be booked twice. It's much easier to cancel a date than to schedule one last minute!

Okay, this may seem to be a really random question, but, I really would like to have my single bridesmaid, single groomsman, and me walk down the aisle to the song "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds. The song is over four minutes... is that too long? And is it weird to just have us all go walking down to the same song? I love the song so much, I am torn as to what to do. I remember someone saying the walk was long, so, can anyone tell me if this is a good idea or not?? Thank you!!!

Hey girls, does anyone know if they will allow a different number of people at each table at the gran tortuga restaurant. My family is split up and all my tables have a different number of people at them ranging from 7 to 11people. Also Jazmin said that they dont do a head table at the restaurant, and if you want one then it can only be 4 pplhuh.gif?? My wedding party has 11people in it!? how am I going to set up seating arrangements...............

That is really up to you! The thing I like most about DW is that they're still pretty new and there's no "etiquette" or "standards" that people expect - so if you all want to walk down to the same song - then do it! But just to let you know - the walk isn't that long - each person/couple can get down there in under a minute (for both the gazebo and the beach)

jennyFTB - I'm pretty sure the options for seating are 4, 6, 8, or 10 (or something like that) and you have to pick one (so all tables of 4 or all tables of 8 ) but I could be wrong - this is probably something that is best discussed with Jazmin.

For us, we picked two tables of 10 (we had 17 guests so 19 of us in total) and we sat with the guests so I really can't help with the head table.
