Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hello all!

I am getting married May 21st, at the Coba! I can't wait and love all of the information on this forum.

I am however, also confused on what exactly we need to have a legal wedding. Our WC has not written me back and there is so much conflicting information out there.

Any one from Canada who got married at the Coba who can help clarify?? We are both from Canada and have never been married before. I'm just hoping to get this information, as it sounds like it could be a lengthy process to organize all the documents!

Thanks a bunch!!!

The hacienda is the shopping and entertainment area of the gran bahia. It has some shops that are open during the day (and some are still open at night), plus a marketplace set up right where the tram drops you off. Good prices. Plus, there is an internet cafe (not included with AI) and after 1130pm, the discoteca is open. Before the disco opens, they have a band in the courtyard outside. And you can dance there...we did!

Ok, this is wierd... I just got an email from Jazmin asking if the wedding plans are fine or if we want to cancel. She sent it Nov 26. We've had some major stuff going on and I was finally able to reply to her last night! I'm sort of freaking out that she might give our date away... aack!!

ooo, that's kind of scary. I'm sure she wouldn't just give your date away. I mean, it takes them a month to reply to our e-mails... why shouldn't you get the same right?

Exactly what I was thinking!! I still haven't heard back from her yet... Its funny, I wasn't contacting her because I thought I could just relax, all the planning would be done when we got there... I'm a little worried, but I can't see them giving away the date either, especially when our group is still booked at the hotel...

Hi Guys... I've been looking through the pages, but I had a question about the wedding packages/meals. If you don't have a private reception, is there a limit on the number of people which are included in the package? I know that more than 15 people and you have to have a set menu, but is there a limit on how many people they can accommodate without an extra charge? If so, does any one know what the extra charge is?

Thanks in advance... I'm putting together a spreadsheet on all the resorts we're considering so we can choose!
