Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if any past brides/grooms have used the hanging paper lanterns at their poolside reception. I got an email from Linda, Palomas assistant, with some answers to some questions and she said that they are not allowed. That's kinda strange since they just have an LED light in them and no open flame... maybe she thinks I was talking about the sky lanterns that you set off into the air??

Hi everyone, Did anyone figure out if someone can do a reading at the wedding (poem) for a legal ceremony? Because its a destination wedding our wedding parties dwindled and we were left with an odd number. We had to ask someone to step down but I'd like to include her in the legal ceremony by reading a poem. Thanks!

Yes I am doing legal wedding and Paloma told me AFTER the legal stuff we could say our own vows and have a poem read. We have an odd number as well- 5 bridesmaids and 2 or 3 groomsmen lol. I'm having my girls walk down together linking arms.

As things are getting closer I was wondering about tips!

What did you tip your wedding coordinator, officiant, bar staff at your pool side reception and wait staff at the restaurant for your wedding.

We have about 50 people coming and we want to make sure we are being fair to the staff. :)

I have the same question Holly! I was contemplating asking the wedding coordinator what is customary but I don't want that to be akward either!!

Yeah, you've had a response at last, hopefully I'll hear something soon as mine is soon after yours! It sounds like she thinks it's the floating sky lanterns and said no due to health and safety.
