I had one.  Well, I ordered one and I got something other than a mariachi... but it was still awesome!!  Loved having the live cultural music.  It was great!

We had ours during our cocktail hour.

Any brides getting married mid-year or later 2013 that has booked their photographers? I was just contacted by the resort and was told I'm not allowed to have outside photographers, even if I book 5-nights stay for them. Is this true? I'm freaking out because I REALLY don't want to use the resort photographer.

My husband and I had the privilege of getting married on November 29th, 2012 at the Gran Bahia Principe Akumal. It was an amazing experience!

Yeah I got the same e-mail. For me it's not a problem as I will be using them (although won't be taking more than what my package covers) and I have 2 guests who are pretty good at taking cool pictures.  I'm under the impression that there's more and more guests who are bringing outside photographers and I'm guessing Arrecife is losing some sales.  Maybe that's why the're a little more aggressive these days?
