Gran Bahia Principe Akumal/Tulum/Coba - POST HERE!

Your getting married the week before me... I am getting married at Akumal though.. Good luck!

I believe the ceremony locations are the same for all 3 resorts and just the reception is different. I could be wrong so if any other bride knows otherwise, pleasr correct me. I would say that you can relax a little for now and work on other things for the wedding so you can focus your energy on something else instead of stressing out too much. Like the invites or wedding gowns and such. Thats what I'm doing to refocus mu energy so i dont freak out. Im sure the WC will contact you soon enough

Welcome "worst" bride.  Don't worry, it'll be fantastic!!  It's kind of crazy when you book and they don't seem as excited as you are, isn't it?  But everything will come together and it'll be gorgeous!  The Akumal location is my favorite (biased)!

 

The resorts actually do not share the wedding locations.  If you're staying in Akumal you will have to use the Akumal wedding locations, unless there is a weird circumstance.  If you're staying in Tulum, you will have to use the Tulum wedding locations.  And Coba, you can choose from any of the three.

 

That's so fun that you guys will be there at the same time.  You'll have to get together for drinks!

 

Everytime I'm there to photograph weddings it's so much fun to meet up with BDW brides!  It's nice to put a face and voice to the username

Oh, I will really have to confirm with my TA which location I am at then. Sometimes, she's telling me Akumal, and other times, she's telling me Tulum. So if I was at the Akumal, I wouldn't be allowed to use the Tulum gazebo?

Looking for other brides that will be at the Gran Bahia Principe-Mayan Riviera in April 2013.

We are going to be there April 7-21st..anyone else going to be there any of those days??

We went the resort DJ and were perfectly happy. It was super easy and he played great music - a good mix that everyone enjoyed. He was great with requests as well.

That is typically the case.  There have been exceptions, but rarely.

Congratulations and welcome!!!!  The wedding times are typically allocated, however you can ask what is available for the day.  There should be two options.  In May, I'd guess it'd be 3pm and 5pm, but I could be wrong.
