Those are great! Thanks so much! Did she happen to send any pictures of the private dinners outside by the pool? I wonder how they set that up.

Hi! We are considering the Gran Bahia. I emailed the WC with no answer yet (its only been two days though) and I'm impatient, so i'm wondering if you guys know how much the guest passes are for people to come to the wedding if they aren't staying there? I'm guessing most people would, but just in case, i'd like to be prepared. Also, do you know if there is a set up fee to have cocktails and the DJ and dancing by the pool after dinner? Or is it just $8pp for drinks for 2hrs? We are thinking we might use the restaurant for dinner and then head out to the pool for the rest of the reception.

Thanks for your help!

The day pass is $50 per person. That allows them to come from 8am until 11 pm.

As far as the set up fee, it's the $8. It's all inclusive, so you aren't paying for the drinks, you are paying for the set up and service.

The DJ is $150 an hour.

Hey Ladies! How are your wedding plans coming at the Gran Bahia? Sorry I haven't been on in a long time. I logged on here today and I have 9071 unread posts. LOL

Everything for us is finally on track. The wedding coordinator for the Coba is email on a regular basis now. We are having the mexican guitar trio play during the wedding. We are having our dinner in one of the resturants and renting the disco for 2 hours. If you need any info on the Coba let me know.

Hi! I am having such a difficult time finding a resort! I have been looking at tons of different resorts, but they seem to be slightly over my budget. I have about 75 people coming to my wedding.

I have a few questions about this resort:

*Can you have a ceremony at the gazebo site with 75 ppl?

*Is there a per person charge for a private reception? I saw the price quotes a few pages back but I was confused.

Thanks everyone!

Hi Cassondra! I would assume you could have seating for 75 people. The seating isn't inside of the gazebo, so I think you'd be fine.

As for the per person charge. Yes, there is. There is a bar fee ($5 per person per hour) and then a food charge. Although it is an all inclusive, you are paying for the service and set up.

I have heard wonderful things about the dinner that comes with the packages though, it's just not private.

I was wondering about how many people could fit at the Gazebo too. I have approx 50 people going. The Gazebo is on concrete which is on the beach. So, with that many people, it seems like some would get there seats on the concrete & others on the sand. Every pic i've seen has approx 20 people there - they are all on the concrete, but you can see that some seats are near the sand. Does anyone have a pic of the Gazebo with a large group of of people?
