Do the 'legal' part (courthouse marriage) in Canada

Get get GET a marriage license

 

. Our minister who we had booked didn't tell us this part, she said she would supply everything and forgot that part - and who are we supposed to know, we haven't been married before! So we ended up finding out 3 days before we left that we couldn't get legally married in Canada and had to have our wedding planner figure it out last minute, god bless her, it all worked out and we got married in Mexico.

Also make sure the marriage license is signed by the registry you get it from!! This happened to my coworker but since hers was also 'under the radar' it wasn't a huge issue with timing.
