wow i think the photography matters so much more than the music. if you do it right, using an ipod is really easy. you could use the same mix for your ahr too

I think that is a lot of $ to pay for a DJ even if he does both events. If you are trying to save money, I would hire a local DJ or just use the ipod. I think paying that amount of $ for a photographer is more reasonable.

I would be so peeved too. Photography is a lot more important than a DJ. I'm finally starting to convince my fi to hire an outside photgrapher. i haven't really liked the resort photographer pics and i've emailed them to see if i could get some samples of their work and what their packages include, i never got a response. But i don't know how much a dj in NY would cost for your ahr. let us know what kind of prices you get.
