DJ: Mannia Cancun review

Hey girls,

 

been reading through this thread... Is it true that DJ Mannia is the DJ used in the package for Dreams Cancun??

 

I'm getting married on 14th July 2009 and have booked the DJ with Dreams Cancun, they are charging $924 for 3 hours... Does anyone know whats included in that price??

 

By the sounds of it they do a good job though!

Umm sorry if I upset you in any way- I will double check about the dance floor. And yes, I've heard Mannia is absolutely amazing and he got back to my email instantaneously

I posted my review of DJ Mannia also- I got married in February and have nothing but great things to say! Carlos was professional, incorporated my own song ideas into the event and also played his own music based on the crowd. I have never been to a wedding where everyone was on their feet dancing all night long and that is exactly how our wedding was. I kicked off my shoes and danced from first song until the very end..... would definitely recommend them too!

Circumstances dictate tactics...and in this case, I would be more than happy to hear what Michelle has to say. I didnt realize this thread was called "ONLY GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT MANNIA." Rather, it says, "DJ: MANNIA CANCUN REVIEW." Therefore, any price reviews that people want to post would be more than welcome, even if they dont make Mannia look good.

Hey girls,

 

I just wanted to post a review of DJ Mannia's services. We had Carlos at our wedding on April 3, 2009 at the Paradisus Riviera Cancun. We used Carlos because the house DJ at the Paradisus Riviera Cancun was crazy expensive and Carlos' prices were reasonable. I first want to say that he was PERFECT! He responded very quickly to my e-mails and answered all my questions. We wired the money to him (both the deposit and final payment) and everything went off without a hitch.

 

We met him at the hotel a few days before the wedding and he was very professional. I had sent him a suggested playlist with the names of the songs I liked during dinner and dancing. I also gave him the names of the wedding party for the introduction. He had some great ideas that we went with as well.

 

We ordered the light up dance floor for 50 people and his services for 4 hours. Later on, he asked if we needed him for the ceremony sound system - he even gave us a super low rate since we got the other services. He also provided my father in law equipment for his guitar to hook into the sound system at no cost.

 

He did a great job of introducing us, announcing the cake cutting, arranging the speech and kept the party moving all night! He played all the songs I e-mailed him during dinner and dancing and allowed requests during dancing (which I told him to do). I really don't have enough great things to say about Carlos. I just wish he also did parties in Florida so I could use him again!

Hello Everyone,

I got Married April 6th in Mexico and used Mania as my DJ let me tell you he was worth every penny, all reviews about Mania are 100% accurate it was easy and a pleasure dealing with him. Great response on e-mails which makes planning a destination wedding very easy. I come from a Portuguese background and a lot of my guests where older generation, so the Portuguese music was a must. I got a CD of Portuguese music that i was to take on my trip so Carlos could play it, well i forgot the CD so Carlos came to my rescue and downloaded some songs from the net. I was very impressed because not only did he go through the trouble of downloading the music but he chose great songs and saved my wedding. As well I did not give him a list of music we wanted i let him pick and he did a great job all my guest loved it.... We had so much fun that i had to extend the party for an hour because no one wanted to leave.

I used DJ Mannia for my wedding on April 29th, at the Paradisus Riviera resort. We initally contacted them for the same reason Meredith (post above) did as the house DJ at the resort was out of our budget.

 

From the first email I sent through to the last I was very impressed with the quick responses, all my questions answered and their professionalism.

 

I had some ongoing issues with the house DJ and DJ Mannia was extrememly patient while we figured out our situation.

 

We met with them the day before our wedding, and I had every intention of showing up with a "must play and a do not play" but I never got around to putting one together. We just gave them our first dance songs, said we wanted a song for our entrance, cake cutting and some light dinner music and left the rest up to them! I was a little nervous but it couldnt have worked out better!!!

 

I had guests coming up to me all evening asking if I told them what to play and when I said no they wouldnt believe me!! DJ Mannia did an awesome job and played all the wedding favorites plus more. I would recommend them to my best friends without a question.

 

We even asked them last minute to do the sound system for our ceremony and they were there and set up no problem. They were also all set up for the reception and were waiting on us to get started!!

 

We cant say enough good things about this company, their service and price and professionalism made planning a DW easy. They definelty get an A+++

I just wanted to share my experience using Carlos with DJ Mannia. At first I must admit I was a little hesitant using him considering the amount of money we were going to spend on a DJ and illuminated dance floor. MY FI thought I was crazy but I was set on hiring him after reading such good reviews. Well, his reputation stood true. He was very cooperative with me from the first email to the day I arrived and he called me to go over everything.

 

I sent him a list of songs that I wanted played during the reception and he played everything. There was NEVER a dull moment at my wedding.

 

He announced cake time, toast, garter and bouquet toss. My husband found a special song that hasnt been recorded yet that he wanted to dance with his mother and he was able to upload it and he played it for him and his mother.

 

I would recommend Carlos to anyone looking for a DJ his work is amazing, he played Spanish, English; everything was danceable, there was never anyone sitting down.

 

The illuminated dance floor was worth it also... I am attaching a picture of it. If anyone wants any further information on him just PM me.

Carlos also provided me with a copy of my songs in a cd and I just though that was the icing to the cake. I listened to it on my way to work this morning and it brought back so many memories of cancun. Thank you once again

Sounds about right...I would definitely ask for the 30% discount. I was able to get it, they add the dance floor and the DJ together then give you the 30%
