I got this in an email and I thought it was worth sharing. I thought it was cute/funny because my parents used to tell me about how they walked miles to school! I thought about it more and thought its kinda sad bc Im sure many people cant afford to drive now since gas prices are so crazy....but anyways here is....

I think it's hilarious!!

I noticed my car is almost empty today & when I went to pull into the gas station the price was posted at.... $1.33 a litre!!!! That's $5.03 a gallon!!!!! I pulled a U-turn out of there ASAP, got home, parked my car & walked everywhere for the rest of the day! lol so I'm with the kid in the cartoon, I just can't afford the gas!

Yeah, it's definetely getting expensive to drive anywhere now. It's around $3.68 here for regular unleaded. And looks like it will keep on climbing!!! UGHHH . . .

i was p.o.'d last night, i went to get gas at safeway, where i got a .03 cent club card discount per gallon, which made it $3.69, and then i drove down the road where i passed an am/pm and it was $3.59. i was so pissed! every red cent counts, you know

 

haha, altho i just realized, it would have only saved me $1.20, since i got 12 gallons. barely enough for a loaf of the cheap bread

That's funny...Gas is $4.09 in most areas but as high as $4.29 for regular...Yes I know. I'll be riding my bike to work starting next week...I figure I can get in some much needed exercise and save money!

I wish I could walk everywhere, ride a bike or take public transportation. Doesn't work like that when you live in the sticks! GRRR!
