Whats the best fabric for DW dresses?

We have sooo many WD threads and I'm sure that ppl have commented on this question before, but I thought we should have one thread on this topic.

 

My wedding will be in July. Very hot and humid in PV. I still want my BM's to wear long dresses. We are going to have them made and I'm not sure which fabric to choose.

 

Now, with my WD. I hate to admit it, but I sweat A LOT! What is the best "breathable" Fabric? I love lace and am considering this fabric, but what should I look for as the inlay?

I have a taffida material...it is VERY light weight, I can barely tell I am wearing it.

Ditto chiffon. I would stay away from satin or polyester.

Although more expensive, silk is very breathable too

Mine is also Chiffon, as our the BM dresses. It does seem very light.

I also have a taffeta dress. Very breathable and I agree with the others, very light its almost not even there.
