I go to my dermatologist every 2 weeks for a superficial chemical peel. When I was in High School I had acne on my face and back (eww). I couldn't stand the marks and hated to wear clothes that revealed my back. I started going to my dermatolgist about 10 months ago and what a difference!! I have no marks on my face (almost flawless) and my back is almost spotless.

The best part is my insurance covers it. I have horizon and I don't have to pay a copay either.

The dermatologist also gives you a facial wash and some antibiotics to use. Truth be told, I don't use the antibiotics he gave me for my face any more. I just use Neutrogena and get my chemical peels. Remember they are superficial peels. They put it on your face for like 3 minutes then you wash it off and leave. Not to mention all the free samples they give you. Some of which I am putting in my OOT Bags because I have so many.

Yeah, I think I am going to have to be on this acne schedule forever!! I have had it since I was 12. NOTHING makes it go away forever. I have to continue to use products. Finally, my Dermatogist found a combination of stuff to help me out and it's only about 60 bucks every two months. Not too bad. Maybe someday I will get grownup skin.

Hmm I might have to look into this. I would love not to have to take antibiotics. Especially since I will be TTC soon and I can't take them!!

My skin has always been a problem - what works for me is Proactiv - honestly it's the best thing I have ever used and I rarely rarely get sits any more..

Oh and I hate the cellulite on my saddlebags - thanks MOM!

I used Proactiv in high school. Back when it was freakin' expensive. It never worked for me. It just made my skin feel oily and gross. My cousin swears by it though.

I hate my tummy. It hasn't been flat since I was 12! I was chubby throughout highschool, then lost about 45 pounds my first year of college. Even then, I still had a tummy roll! I was a size 2 with flab! How is that possible?

I also have saddle bags but those are totally genetic. I did manage to get them down a little but that was back during my psycho work out days. It's always the first thing to come back!

I found that pilates helped with both, I just never could stick to the schedule!

I also have adult acne, what a pain in the ass. Birth control helps a lot but I still get some pimples. The birth control did get rid of 99.9% of the back and chest acne though, thank goodness, I found that more annoying and embarrassing than the face acne. Now I get a back or chest pimple like every few months.

Right now I am on Yasmine BC (used to be on Diane 35 which is great for acne. It's slightly higher risk than other BCs though. Yasmine is made by the same company as Diane but slightly lower risk)

I also use clindoxyl which is a perscription acne cream. If I use it every night my skin is almost perfect. Only problems is that it does stain, so it's best to use white pillowcases and white towels.

Proactiv, worked for me for a little while and then it stopped. Dr. Perricone has a book out acne and it totally changed my life. My skin has never been better. I was on every type of antibiotic available. Here's the link to the book:
