Can you provide the name of the lady who made your custom invites. I had a friend lined up but she ended up being too busy and back down. How much did you end up paying for your invites?

these look great and good on mom for being so creative! I wish I had handballed some tasks but the control freak in me couldn't do it so I am suffering the pain of last minute cutting out with FI doing some also.. I would get her to do your invites as well!

Funny story though -- all my FI's friends keep telling us that they received our invitation...they don't understand the concept of STD! I think it didn't help that they had so much information and were a little on the formal side! Luckily their girlfriends, wives, significant others, etc. seemed to get the idea but I think they'll be confused when they get the actual invite! :-)

I love the tri-folds, the palm tree motif and the tear-off calendar! Adorable! And I know what you mean about DIY-- I just don't have the time or skills to do really complex projects like invites. So luckily my mom said that she'd do them for me! I think FI and I will handle the save-the-dates on our own, since they're basically going to be picture postcards, but it is a real weight lifted to know that my mom is pitching in. (Not to brag, but she is awesome! She already sent me some test proofs and they look great.)
