I'm so exited to see that someone posted information on this resort. I am looking into it right now and Josefina has been great about responding to all of my questions. I've attached the most updated information for the JW Marriot pricing. I'm emailing her today to recieve pricing for CasaMagna...I know it's priced a little better. These two locations are my top choices because of the option to have an outdoor catholic ceremony. Does anyone know of any other resort that does an outdoor catholic ceremony?

Sorry...everytime I try to upload the last PDF, it gives me a Failed Upload note. The information is on the 2009 Banquet Menu. If you are interested in having me email you the PDF, I would be more then happy to do it.

Thanks

I just got married there last june 26. The resort itself was beautiful and the wedding coordinator (Mariel Camara was awesome). However, it rained the whole day that day so they have to move everything indoor. Plan B sucks, and it really sucked that we paid to use the gazebo for a Catholic ceremony since it's usually never allowed.

I hope it doesn't happened to any other brides. Just make sure you have the back-up plan all set and everything to your liking. We didn't see the back up room until we have to begin the ceremony. They pretty much just moved everything that you paid for indoors and not compensate or anything for the view that you lost.

I'm SO sorry you got rained out! This really sucks 'cause I was hoping for a June 27th wedding for next year. smile41.gif My future father-in-law can't get any vacation time until afer June 20th. This is really bumming me out...I'm sure not as much as you were on your wedding day. Thanks for posting this though. I'm really going to have to re-think my date.
Anyone else gotten married this July and been rained out??!!

Did the hotel let you borrow the umbrellas or did you have to rent them?
(red and white one) did you have your reception there too?

The hotel let me borrow them, I loved that they were white and red 'cause they fit my colors perfectly!

I didn't have my reception there, I had it at the FA Condesa

I'm so excited to read all of the happy reviews of the CasaMagna- I'll be getting married there May 15. 2009 and am so happy with our decision! We started off wanting Moon Palace, but our family loves the beach and I've heard awful things about theirs (all confirmed by a friend who visited last month). Our guests will not bee staying at CM; we're staying somewhere a bit more affordable so that more of our family can make it (Catalonia Riviera Maya- 10 of us spent a week there in 2006- great resort).

I'm curious and a little concerned about the blood test involved in a legal ceremony. Anyone with experience in this area... who performs the test? Were you as comfortable having this done as you would have been in the US?
