Waxing your armpits?

Recommended Posts

Ok so this is kinda a silly question, but.... has anyone waxed their armpits? I have heard of people doing this. I think it would look nice on my wedding day, with no bumps or red marks or anything. But I am little nervous.

How long does it last?

How many days did you have to go without shaving to get it done?

I do it every once in a while to clear out in grown hairs. You should let it grow out to at least 1/4 inch, I think it was around a week grow out.

Also another tip, try Dove deodandant (their new kind works wonders I swear) my underarms have been so much better since I started using that.

hmm not very long, maybe two-three weeks. Not nearly as long as other places, but like I said I have only done it with the purpose of clearing out in grown hairs

i get my armpits waxed regularly. its the greatest thing since sliced bread. BUT. only go to someone recommended by someone you know -- armpits are a sensitive area and trust me when i say you dont wanna be sore there for 3 days afterwards if the esthetician isnt great. it typically lasts me 2-3 weeks.

I recommend it. I get mine done religiously. Mine usually last 2 weeks but my hair grows quick. I agree definately go to someone recommened, its super painful when they dont know what they are doing and apply wax to the area several times. Applying deodarant the next day is not fun when this happens I learned the hard way.

THe only downside is waiting for them to grow out, in the winter not so bad but in the summer all I want to do is wear sleeveless shirts and I have to remember not to lift my arm during the grow out period LOL smile120.gif
