I got 200 3x4 organza bags from my fiance's aunt but they are the wrong colour. They are lavander. I'm wondering if I'm able to dye them another colour, and if this is possible, how? I'm wanting something along the lines of turquoise, fushia, or green.

Thanks!!!! :)

It will totally depend on the type of organza. If it's a natural fiber (silk), then it may be possible. But if you've got a synthetic (which, given they are gift bags is likely the case), then it will be much tougher if not impossible. And even if you get the color on the fabric, it may rub off.

Your best bet is to try one out. Given that lavender (purple) is a combo of blue and red, you probably want to avoid green as it may turn them brown (purple+green=brown).

Of the colors you suggested, fushia may be your best bet. Turquoise may still have a slight purple-ish tint.
