Boarding pass questions

I'm playing around with some boarding pass ideas and I have a few questions.

 

First, I would like to do the tear-off RSVP postcard. I noticed on the post office's website that postcards need to be at least 3 1/2 inches wide. The template floating around has them measuring about 3 1/4. Has anyone figured out a way to make this work?

 

Second, I would like make the pocket open up to have a letter inside. Did anyone do anything like this? I haven't seen it anywhere, but thought it'd be a creative way to explain what's going on (since none of my guests have been to a DW before).

i saw a post today about std that were luggage tags. but they used the same envelopes as boarding passes. inside the envelope they had a letter. i'll find the post so you can see if that's what you mean.

That's another idea. I want the actual outer envelope to have the letter on it. Hmmm...
