Haha yes! And they cost more than you think! Or more than I thought. Heck I think I had $500 total for 2. Fiance's was $400 alone!

we got my FIs on amazon- tungsten ( i dont know if its real or not?) but it was 20$ and feels really nice and heavy, just like the really expensive ones weve tried on- i say win! if he ends up hating it we can always figure something else out.

My fiancé got a tungsten ring. ($200 from a local jewelry store) He is a mechanic and needed something very durable. We just purchased my wedding band ($900 after insurance from Jared). Both are beautiful!

We too are looking at tungsten but there a few things to consider with it: 

1) If you drop it onto a cold hard surface it can shatter or chip

2) It cannot be cut off a finger. Therefore depending on the FI's career, take into consideration if he is willing to lose a finger, or do more damage to a finger to get it off.

My FI picked out my engagement ring and said he's taking care of both of our rings. So I guess I'll be surprised again! LOL
