Do you still send gifts if not attending?

It's weird if you hardly know her and she invited you, and it's customary to send a gift. However, in your case I would say send a nice card.

I think I'm going to end up just sending a card ... I go out of town for work every now and then so i think i'll use that as the excuse (of course im never out of town on a Saturday, but they don't know that)

If you have to wonder why you were invited...I would NOT get a gift.

I think that I would be more likely to send a card rather than a gift. I wouldn't invite someone I had only met a couple of times, and I definately wouldn't expect a gift from them.

I think we can all feel this one! I think a card is fine. I am a giver, but I know that it can come back to get you... if you give to the shower you know you keep getting invited to other showers. Will your friend be upset if you don't send go or send something?

 

I once thought I'd take the high rode and send a gift, then I got invited to the wedding, then the baby shower, then the house warming party, the baptism, and now the 1st b-day party..... YIKES! Sometimes I think you have se t a limit. Hope this helps!
