Honeymoon Poll

So far we are getting married at the end of May 2008 at the Riu and will spend the first 6 days with our family and friends and the last 5 days will be our homeymoon. We wont change hotels though.

We really want to drive through Europe for our honeymoon. If we do, it will be a few months after we get married. And depending if we stayed within budget!

My dad has tons of Marriott points so I think we're going to try and go to Europe and stay for free! (hopefully). I've only ever been to Spain so I'm dying to go elsewhere.

We are having an adventure honeymoon... I'm driving our SUV down to Cabo the week before the wedding with my Dad as co-pilot (since my FI can't join us until 4 days before the wedding). For our honeymoon, we are going to take 10+ days driving back up the Baja penninsula alternating camping on the beach with nights in luxury beach-front hotels. We love to scuba dive, so we're going to try to get in as many dives as possible in the Sea of Cortez. Definitely not a week at the Ritz, but will be an adventure to remember!

KM - That sounds awesome! My FI and I have been planning to do that same road trip for years (we live in Los Angeles so it's not too far away)!

We live in San Diego, so it's really close for us. I'm a bit nervous after reading about Mexico Hwy 1, but it should be a blast.

We're flying back to San Diego and then back to Mexico to La Casa Que Canta in Zihuatanejo. Then we're heading over to Marida and staying in these three very cool places and doing tours of the pyramids and ruins. So excited!

We're staying in Cabo for 4 days after the wedding for our honeymoon. We're staying at Hilton in the Corridor for the wedding, so I want to move into Cabo for the honeymoon for a change of scenery. Anyone know anything good about Pueblo Bonito Rose?

Wow, I love this idea! My FI is a master diver & I would love to learn, but the Pacific is just too damn cold where we live. I love the idea of alternating Baja camping with luxury hotels....hmmm, I may have to plant this seed.

Oh good, you're getting the honeymoon figured out! We are staying at the Pueblo Bonito Rose during the wedding. The hotel looks really nice, has a really nice spa on premises, has GREAT reviews on tripadvisor.com, all the rooms are suites with kitchenettes, and you are within walking distance to downtown Cabo. The only thing that may not be good for the honeymoon is that all rooms are double beds only. I believe that you can get the beds made into one big bed, but you may want to call the hotel to make sure. Also I believe the Blanco next door to the Rose is supposed to be a bit more quiet and intimate. But the room configurations are the same.

If you decide to stay at either one, definitely let's plan to meet up and say hello! We will be at the Rose Nov 1st through the 5th. I would love to meet you!!
