Ali,

If you don't mind my asking - we were having a discussion about tipping Nicole on one of the other threads...would you mind telling us what you did? Did you give her an extra tip on top of the tips that were already included? Did you bring a gift or anything down for her?? I can't remember which thread we were discussing this on, but if you wouldn't mind sharing, that would be great! Thanks!

Yah I remember reading about that tip thing somewhere else too and Jeff and I kinda went about it a different way. We didn't actually leave Nicole any extra money since we were told that the planning fee ($900) went to her so we figured that was a good chunk (I am only saying this because all my friends that have been married and used wedding planners pay them about

15% of their budget which we did too!) We did leave Nicole some smaller wedding related gifts and then when we returned home we got a picture of the three os us and sent it down to her! Jeff and I did however though leave extra tips the day that we went over for our site inspection! The reason for this being we weren't really too sure who gets the tip money that is included in the wedding costs so we left money before we left Caletas and then again on the boat ride back home! This way we hoped that everyone would get a cut! Not too sure if that is how it works but that was just what Jeff and I felt was best since the group with us while we did our site inspection was fabulous....and very welcoming! (Be warned..they will drag you up to the front of the baot and make you dance and shoot tequilas if they know your the bride and groom to be!) But it was great fun!

Hi Ali,

Thank you SOOO much, that was very helpful!!! I have a much better idea of what to do now!

That sounds like fun doing tequila shots and dancing at the front of the boat - though I don't know if FH will like that very much - he's not really into dancing much! LOL

Sounds like a blast! I'm so excited!!! I can hardly stand it!!!!

The boat crew is FABULOUS!!! We've been on a few of their trips before and the crew is so much fun that our best Vallarta memories involve partying on the boats. Each time was a different crew but they were equally entertaining. If you are really shy they will leave you alone, but if you like to get up and groove (and we do) even better.

We have the most hilarious video of us all dancing and singing to "summer nights" from Grease, it was soooo fun. You will not be disappointed!!

Ali,

Thank you soooooo much for all the info. You don't even know how much you put my mind at ease. I was actually leaning away from Las Caletas because my guest list might be over 150, but now I am set and I want to make it happen there. You looked gorgeous on your wedding day:) Do you know at what age kids count toward the total head count?

Thanks again

Umm I actually don't know when kids count and don't...we had 4 kids at our wedding but we didn't know there was a different price for kids so we were just charged $40 for each of them...guess its something we really should of looked into but oh well! It really doesn't matter now! Oh and just so you know hopefully the site will be up by tomorrow...they said it takes 24hours to get the proper url address so it should be www.jeffandali.org when it gets up and running but its also searchable at Wedding Websites - Create your free premium wedding web site!, name being Ali Cram to search for! Anyways hope this helps a bit!

Ali, Your site is awesome. It looks like you guys had such an amazing day. It helped so much being able to see the photos because I was having a hard time picturing all the details. This is random, but I am hopefully going to have our wedding there a year from now so it will be the same time as you did. Is it humid? I have straight hair and only want to grow it out if I can do it curly (curling iron and a lot of hairspray). Which won't happen if it is reeeeaaaally humid. What do you think?
