The problem with most dresses is that I have a short torso plus extra weight so the back of my dress always looks kinda weird. Here is a pic of the first dress just a different color. The color would be a darker purple than that one but just a shade.

i personally think the 2nd is much more flattering on you, but that depends on your perspective (you look really boobalicious in #2 ... if you want to minimize rather than emphasize, then you have to go with #1)! i think #2 looks better in the waist and is really flowy ... love the back (like the tiers in the train), though it looks as though it wasn't laced properly and the insert behind the lacing is just sticking up weird (i think that's why most people here haven't liked the back ... properly laced and tucked and you'd look perfect!).

i was stuck on dresses with splashes of color for quite awhile, but ultimately decided that years from now it might seem very dated, much in the way we look at big puffy sleeves now and instantly recognize it's an 80s dress. if you know that won't bother you (like if you'd rather be "timely" than "timeless"), then go for it! do what inspires YOU.

part of me still wants some color too, so i'm considering a colored petticoat (classic on the outside, party underneath! haha)!!!
