veil or no veil-that is the question

I'm just wearing a flower. I think my dress is too detailed and a veil would make it look too over the top for a beach wedding. Plus I have this vision in my head of my veil wrapping itself around my face while I'm trying to say my vows. hahaha

I went with a Veil and a hair flower so in teh reception when i took my veil off i still felt bridey with my flower

I'm wearing my hair in a low, messy bun and using a veil for the ceremony and then putting a flower in it for the reception, that way I can have both

at first i thought i didn't want a veil. but then i tried one on with the dress and loved it.

No veil for me...I'm thinking of doing a messy low type bun on the side with a flower. So far, anytime I've tried one on with the gowns, I felt it just wasn't me.

No veil for me. It's my second wedding so I want something much more casual.

 

I do want a flower in my hair though, as I think it looks beachy.

I think whether it is too much or not to have both definitely depends on the type of veil. If you want the flowers, the veil should be simple (although I've seen flowers look nice with some mantilla veils). Now, if you want a veil with the works (beading, lace, etc), maybe you can only wear the flowers after you take it off for the reception (if you're planning to do so). Having said that, I've seen both work together BEAUTIFULLY! See the various pictures I found online below:
