veil or no veil-that is the question

I'm just wearing a flower. I think my dress is too detailed and a veil would make it look too over the top for a beach wedding. Plus I have this vision in my head of my veil wrapping itself around my face while I'm trying to say my vows. hahaha

I think whether it is too much or not to have both definitely depends on the type of veil. If you want the flowers, the veil should be simple (although I've seen flowers look nice with some mantilla veils). Now, if you want a veil with the works (beading, lace, etc), maybe you can only wear the flowers after you take it off for the reception (if you're planning to do so). Having said that, I've seen both work together BEAUTIFULLY! See the various pictures I found online below:
