We head to the Cape and it is a beautiful day. It's about an hour and a half ride to Falmouth from where we live in Worcester. Mike loves the Christmas Tree Shop so I thought for sure that would be our first stop, but he said, "let's go drive by the beach first." This should have been my first clue, but I didn't catch on. We drove by one of the places we are considering for our reception and stopped at the beach at the end of the road (Surf Drive beach, Jackie). It isn't the most beautiful beach on the Cape, but it was a beautiful day and there actually weren't that many people. We got out of the car and sat down on a small wall and just chit-chatted for a few minutes.

That's my story! I hope it makes sense. I don't have a good picture of the ring yet, but it looks just like the one in my avatar. It was custom made and EXACTLY what I wanted!!
Oh Kate thats a great beach, right of shore drive right? I live in Mashpee right next to New Seabury the raw bar Mashpee Commons area if your familar. What a beautiful day to get engaged!!! Ryan and I went out to dinner in woods hole wear we had our first date and then he took me to Old Silver beach it was cold and rainy but I didnt care.

If you need any help at all please let me know. I dont know how familir you are with Cape Cod weddings but I have been to to many to count at this point and definitly could help you "review" wise. I dont think you could pick a location that If I at least havent been to a wedding there I know someone who has that can give a decent opinion.
One of my two favorite places for cape cod weddings is (same owner) either the Flying Bridge in Falmouth or the Connameset in Falmouth. Both are beautiful. The Flying Bridge is right on the water and the Connameset has a more antique barn feel to it. They both offer the same food choices and let me tell you hands down their food is the best out of any other venu on Cape that I have been to for a wedding. They have whats called "stations" no its not a buffet but just food stations throughout the reception area. A raw bar which is fabulous, a prime rib station, a pasta station, a salad station, etc. They never run out of food and it is to die for.
I believe there is valet parking at both places too. Both places are very close to hotels. I stayed overnight at the Coonameset once with the bride-to-be the night before her wedding and they totally pampered her the next day while she was getting ready.
Anyways if you need anything let me know I'd be happy to help!
