Everything is fine with this. I have sent it back to the original owner (at her request) and she will get it to Teira on time. Hope everyone continues to enjoy the starfish!

I just got the starfish back and it is in pretty bad shape. He is missing multiple stones and it has been glued multiple times. I am concerned that I will not be able to get him fixed up to put back out into circulation. The hot glue is not working.

 

I guess I need to know if it matters to you that the starfish is no longer attached to the stick. I have the journal and it still has plenty of pages for new entries.

I agree that it's not in good shape and a new one is probably a good idea. I would be willing to help get the new one into production but I know Teira needs it next week so we would need to rush ship it as well. Unless Teira wants to take the current one without a stick and we will start the new one with Hockeymom.

I some how have been completely taken out of this list, my dates where May 18-26th 2011 Dreams Cancun so after hockeymom and before susanna who seems to not be in the list either. I think we should get a new starfish and continue the passing thread

I feel bad that the little starfish is in such bad shape but I guess that's to be expected when he's been traveling for a couple of years now.

 

dc22173 - do you think you want to just retire the starfish and keep the journal at this point?

 

I'd be willing to buy a new starfish and start a new journal to keep the tradition going. I just don't know if it would get to Teira in time??

 

NurseM - I could be wrong but I think your dates were too close to another bride that was on the list before you? What are your travel dates again?

If anyone is willing to purchase a new starfish and continue the passing of it that would be great!!! I am officially retiring the little guy and placing him with the rest of my wedding memories. Thanks to all the brides who wrote in the journal. I truly enjoyed reading about your special day and about all the places that my starfish has visited. Since 2009, he has taken part in 25 weddings!!! This little guy has traveled more than that I have at this point .

Or, if you were *supposed* to use him, and he was never sent to you, please let me know that as well, so I know you never had him,

I know I posted that I was going to possibly purchase a new starfish to keep the the dc22173 clear stafish thread going, however I wanted to let you all know that I won't be doing this. Luckily a very dear friend has offered to let me borrow hers instead and I know that I just won't have time to keep track of a starfish once we get back from our wedding so I don't want to start something I know I can't finish. Just wanted to let you all know in case someone else wants to buy a new one to keep the dc22173 list going. I still think this is a great idea and hopefully someone will keep the starfish traveling
