Someone broke into our garage!

And then the little bastard(s) stole all of our lawn equipment

 

2 mowers, the pressure washer, the blower, the weed eater, and FI's tool box. We're talking a minimum of $800 to replace everything but probably closer to $1000!

 

I am so PISSED! I don't understand stealing and it freaks me out because our garage is separate from our house and our entire yard is fenced--this wasn't an easy task. Also, the big door doesn't open so you have to enter from the side. I feel violated.

 

Would it be bad for us to register at Home Depot now? We already have the other big registries at Macy's, Dillards, and BB&B. I don't want to seem greedy but we really don't have any extra money!

I am so sorry to hear about this! It is so frustrating, you just wish people would get a job and get their own stuff and not steal yours! I think instead of registering at Home Depot, I would just tell people if they ask what you'd like is either cash or a gift cert there to replace some of your stolen stuff!

 

Does homeowners insurance cover that?

 

Also, call your local police station and let them know what happened, most likely they can't do anything but they can be on the look out for it and they always appreciate knowing if stuff is going on.

Your insurance should cover that, well I hope it would! but no register where you want you need the stuff people aren't bothered where you register as long as they can give you something

So sorry this happened to y'all! Definitely file a police report because more than likely these people are hitting up other peoples garages too. Hopefully they will get caught!

Be careful. I hear that the thieves often wait until you contact insurance and replace everything then come back for more. Extra security is in order.

We are renting this house until we buy our own home so I will have to call the landlady to see what is covered. Stupid people!
