PhotoSouvernir and Dreams Issue

this is stupid. Just have a look at the Dreams forum and these guys have great reviews and had even more when they used to work over there. It seems to be the best company in Punta Cana and I think that the resort companies are scared. Just look at their work. The last slide show is simply gorgeous. Hope you can work it out and it is probably a stupid person who has a personal issue with them because he decided to get another company( severine told me that it was all about money....it sucks) and see that they are still getting bookings for Dreams . They should care more about their clients instead of losing time fighting against the professional people. This is my point of view and I am happy I have found them to do my wedding. Thx kate...I am patiently waiting a response from my WC and see what she has to say about this...I wont give up easily, it really is ashame and I wouldn't be surprised if it is all about the money. Ive been to DR before and I know how it is down there & how it can get with $$...so obviously someone at Dreams feels threatened by all the business Photosouvenir has been getting lately. I will keep my fingers crossed that everything works out, not only for myself but also for future Dreams brides that wish to use Photosouvenir.

not sure its just DR they seem to be cutting back on all the external vendors they allow in any of their resorts

 

I've tried to contact both of the photographers that are allowed and both have ignored my emails lol

I know that they are doing the same in Mexico. Many brides bring their photographer in the DR because they care about quality and nobody can forbid that. We don't have any contract with the resorts that say that we must use their photographer so what is the problem? They are totally wrong and I think it is gonna change. This is our wedding and WE have to tell them what we want.Good luck and I am sure you will solve the problem.

I definitely would like to know the outcome as we are trying to figure out if we are going the villa or resort route. And Dreams seems to give you a lot for your bucks. I would hate to have to go somewhere else because they won't let in the photographer I want. My fingers are crossed that you get some good news!

I feel for you ladycheese, it is ridiculous if Dreams cannot keep a professional relationship with your photog. I don't see what the big deal is when you are paying for the photog to be there. I hope that you can get some straight answers after talking to your WC. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Thank you Danielle...normally the WC gets back to me within a day but of course now its been a few days since I sent my email about this issue. But I know they are busy and I will wait it out til the end of the week and hopefully hear back.

I will keep you all posted once I hear something.
