We definitely felt it this morning in Cincinnati. I woke up to a loud crash which ended up being a picture frame that fell and broke and a pile of CD's that fell to the floor from the desk. First reaction was that someone was in the house. DH and I woke up at the same time and I was hopping out of bed and he said "wait - it's an earthquake"! I couldn't believe it, but sure enough the TV stand was swaying back and forth and the bed was shaking! Very weird experience...I can't imagine how it feels in CA with those big quakes!

We never hear about all the earthquakes in the pacific and they have them all the time "ring of fire" anyone...okay I will stop babbling, I am a social studies teacher who used to teach Natural Disasters.
Christine..I was thinking the same thing. Here is Reno we have had earthquakes for the past few months...several a day. On Tuesday I think it was there was three right after one another all of them around 3.4 or something....its a little freaky!!

I just read in the paper yesterday Oregon has had 600 earthquakes off the coast for the past few months. They are smaller in magnitude- 5.4 or smaller.

We had a few larger ones when I was in high school- once during a basketball game and the tiles started to fall from the roof. The other one was larger but I slept through the damn thing. My parents left me in the house and the whole neighborhood gathered outside while I was just dozing off. What jerks huh? I'm surprised I made it through my childhood.
