Fabric question (for BM dresses)

Recommended Posts

hey. so the girls love this dress and we're going this sat to try it on. we may use that bm dress website and order the dress there so its cheaper too, but thats another thread when i cross that bridge. ANYWAY- i do have a question though b/c im not sure. this dress is "silk de chine" ? will that show every bump and detail? last night a bm asked me what the fabric was b/c they realized it might be too "silky" and werent sure of that. it looks like its alil thicker but im no expert. anyopne have info on this?

"Silk Crepe de Chine - A surprisingly lightweight but well-behaved crepe with a little more texture than 4 ply crepe. Yarns are tightly twisted together during weaving which produces an excellent drape. This versatile silk makes up well in blouses, dresses, men’s shirts as well as for home décor, even for jacket linings."

I'd say it will be thicker than what you normally think of a silk dress being, but it will probably not be as forgiving as some fabrics. Spankx should take care of that though, especialy if most of your girls are on the smaller side.
