So I just found out that they're moving me from the top level to a middle level office as of May 1.

 

That means I have to give up my carpool and find a new one, train for another new job (I had this one for only a few months), and have a longer commute to work (because it's right downtown and now I have to pay A LOT for parking).

 

I'm totally bummed, I thought I was doing good in my job, but my boss could tell I was bored out of my trees and that I needed something more challenging. I guess it's a good thing, my pay stays the same, but I'm pissed because I feel like there was nothing I could do about it.

ok. this sucks. but lets look on the bright side, at least you are still employed at all, right? sorry you have to have a longer commute though, i know what that's like and it makes a huge difference in the morning to have a shorter commute. sending you a hug!

Thanks ladies. I can't really talk about it with any friends at work until the rest of the office knows (they'll find out tomorrow at a staff meeting), and I'm ready to burst at the seams.

 

I keep telling myself this is for the best, that my boss saw qualities in me that just couldn't be utilized well here and has found me a better position down the line.

 

I have half a bottle of wine left in the fridge, looks like liquid supper for me tonight!
