I am in th same boat as you (waiting oh so patiently... not!) for my ring! So I have my fingers AND my toes crossed for you!!!!!

Mat's pulled a few tricks where I thought something might happen, but then nothing at all did. But I really hope that's not the case for you!! :)

OH man, I so feel your pain. (What happened to the "waiting for the bling" thread?)

I was starting to get PISSY about it - lol. Martin would tease me and I knew he had the ring. When we went down to Mexico I finally confronted him about it big time (I know, totally wrong of me). He told me he would do it when he was good and ready! Of course I figured that meant it was *NOT* going to happen down there like I really hoped and I got really sad. Little did I know he was waiting for the next night (my birthday!). I could TOTALLY tell when he was ready to do it. He told me before we went out that I had to "do everything he had planned for me that night". I was so sick but I went with it and he proposed at dinner that night - I was sooo happy running around the resort with my brand new bling and "birthday" flowers smile120.gif

I agree with the other girls. I waited for a few years (we started dating in '03 and bought a house in '04) and as each holiday in '06 passed I was so disappointed. We had a few of those "shit or get off the pot" conversations that we laugh about now but were anything but fun at the time.

Have a great time and know that he'll do it in his own time. It's such a huge thing to ask and be asked and I'm glad he isn't taking it lightly.

Best of luck!

You are all right- I will still have fun on Sunday no matter what, and I probably won't really think about it too much once we are there, its just all the anticipation.

He has a dentist appt. this morning and then a work function tonight (I know these are real) but he said he's not sure if he's going to work in between so he's going to leave his out-of-office on all day. He hasn't said what he's going to do this afternoon and I didn't press. Hm....

Yeah, I used to get all excited for every little thing, and then I was SO bummed when it didn't happen.

However, our trip to New York I told myself that we were NOT getting engaged and I just fully let myself enjoy the time... and poof... we got engaged.

Don't ruin your trip thinking about it. Enjoy every minute of it so you can tell your friends and family about the romantic amazing day you had which ended with a proposal!

What in the world is he waiting forhuh.gif For the LOVE OF GOD, if it doesn't happen on Sunday, give me his cell #. I'm going to call him.

But honestly, enjoy the night. As anxious as you are, you are going to want to remember the night you got engaged as one of the happiest nights of your life. So don't ruin the memory by being annoyed at the start of it. Ok?
