I ruined a perfectly good birthday dinner at (Bobby Flay's!) because I was expecting my ring. I got it that night, but he didn't want to propose in the restaurant, so he gave me a pair of earrings to throw me off. I definitely would've enjoyed that evening more if I hadn't expected my ring.
