please help me find something for Ryan

Recommended Posts

I searched for a thread like this but did not find any. I need help! I am not sure what to get Ryan for a present from me. He has about a million watches so that is not a great idea. I want it to be something meaningful. Something that he can have for years. He is not into things like personalized key chains of anything like that. He does not smoke cigars. I was sorta thinking a new Ipod touch that I got engraved but he keeps reading reports that apple is about to do something newer and better so I know that he wants to wait on that. I was also sorta thinking about giving him a big gift card to best buy so he can get whatever he wants but this is so impersonal. is there anything i get to go with this? PLEASE HELP ME! thanks!

I dont know if this works for you...I am thinking of getting my FI a dog. He is a big dog person and I have always been afraid of them. I have never had one. I am looking in to picking out one that I know I would be comfortable with and one he would love. My other thought is my honey is a big sports junkie. I am trying to find some sports memorobilia that he would be interested in. Say an old jersey and get it frammed. What is Ryan in to?

Nothing says thanks for becoming my husband like a 50" tv. LOL.

So I was looking for ideas for you. I found this website Gift Ideas: Mother's Day Gifts, Anniversary Gifts, Gift Baskets, Gift Cards. You can actually buy for $49.95 a peice of Ireland. It is a square foot peice of land. Who knew?

I have a friend and she and her husband love to travel. She bought him a large world map. Got it place on a cork board and had it frammed. Then she took pins of different colours and put where they have been together and in a different colour where they want to go. I thought it was so personal and unique.

Super cute. There is a book called memories travel book. It is 20 pages that you put together with pics etc and then they professionally make it for you and send it to you.

I dont know just some ideas.

If he loves to travel, what about one of those nice travel document wallets? FI has one and won't travel without it. He loves his!

If you want something more personal/substantial, you could fill it with coupons for things for the future - like dinner in Paris, a back massage in Phuket, a ski lift ticket in St. Mortiz, things like that...

Here are a couple:

what kind of watches does he wear? are they battery operated or automatic? if they are automatic (need to be shaken or wound), then what about a watch winder? sharper image has a few different kinds, the smallest holding 1 watch and costing about $100. the more $$ you get, the more watches they hold and the better the product. dh told me that the one that he would buy himself would be about $1000.

here's a guide that i just found:

Chronocentric: Watch Winders Guide

if you are interested and would like a specific name, let me know and i can ask dh.

What about a memory lane print? You could put the places you've been and things you've done together on it. They are pretty expensive but very unique. Here's what the website says... "Your Memory Lane is a highly personalized, custom-made art print that celebrates the recipientâ€s memories of yesterday, joys of today, and dreams of tomorrow. This is an exceptional visual digest and keepsake gift that is as one-of-a-kind as the person, company, or group that receives it."

Here's the website: Personalized Art Prints, Birthday Gifts, Wedding Gifts, Retirement Gifts - Your Memory Lane
