Tlseege, I love the head bands and Kerrington has enough hair that I can actually put bows in and they stay. I cant believe that little girl of yours wont come out! I was threating that if she didnt come out I was going to jump on the trampoline and give her her eviction notice. LOL

Summer, Kerrington in wonderful. She is a sleeper also. I have a girlfriend that had a little boy 2 weeks after mine and he is up every 2-3 hours and she has to pump after she feeds him. That means as soon as she gets back to sleep she is starting the cycle over. She is not very happy with me right now. Im glad we have good happy babies.

I need to see that picture of Mikka Summer!! Did it fit? I hope you post! :)

You ladies are so lucky with your sleeping baby! I hope it's a BDW trend because I could definitely use a good sleeper! I guess we'll find out soon enough... well, hopefully! Although it seems like Friday (induction date) can't come soon enough for me!

I'm nowhere near being a mommy-to-be yet, but I had something I wanted to post for all you mommies and almost mommies.

I babysat my niece and nephew overnight for the first time this past weekend, and we were having some trouble getting Jack (who's one and a half) to sleep. I was given these two lullabye cds at my wedding shower (someone was a little too eager to see me pregnant, haha), and finally got the chance to try them out. Let me tell you, they work like a charm! They are called Rocakbye Baby, Lullabye Renditions of Popular artists (Music - ROCKABYE BABY! - Online Store ), and they are amazing. I have the Bob Marley and the U2 ones right now, but want to get the Beatles and the Beach Boys eventually.

Just wanted to share with those who could use them right now!

Congrats to all of you!

We decided on the name Matthew. It's one fo the few names that my husband and I liked in English and in Spanish because we know for a fact our families will be calling him in his Spanish name (Mateo) most of the time. I just ordered wall letters of his name to hang in his room; I can't wait to see them!!

Just wondering if there are any other pregnant migraine sufferers out there. I have had migraines since I was about 14 and have been on more prescription meds than I can count on two hands, all of which are ineffective or moderately effective for a period of time till I build a tolerance. Thankfully, my first pregnancy was like a "cure" and I did not suffer from migraines the whole nine months, this time however, not so lucky. I made my OB aware of this in my first appointment and advised her that the only thing that has consistently brought me relief lately was a combination of Excedrine and Aleve that I discovered when my last prescription started becoming ineffective, and I was building a tolerance to the Excerdrine/Aleve as well and starting to need more to be effective. She advised that I could not take those things, which I knew, and that I had to stick to Tylenol unless the migraines did not respond to it. Up till now I was responding to Tylenol, however, Sunday night I got a migraine and it held on. I missed work Monday, came to work but had to leave yesterday and finally called the OB. She called me last night and she has put me on medication that at this stage of the pregnancy is "safe" but it makes me nervous to take such powerful stuff, especially since I took it before and eventually did build a tolerance the last time and needed more to get relief. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and what you did or your OB recommended. Any input would be helpful. I have confidence in my OB but I guess I am just scared of hurting the baby just so I can have relief.

I feel like I'm prepared as far as having the items I need for the baby, but I feel like I have no clue what to do once I leave the hospital. You're going to think this is so strange but I'm more worried about the whole breastfeeding concept than I am of actual labor. I went to a breastfeeding class and I left much more confused because I didn't realize how difficult it actually could be.
So, I'm really nervous about that part of it all! I hope he latches on easily and has no problems relief.gif

Before I was pregnant, i would get a minimum of two major migraines a month. Only my prescription (it changed a lot) or Excedrin would work for me. When I first got pregnant, I only had 2 migraine espisodes (only in the 1st trimester) and they both lasted 3 days. It was the worst feeling! I threw up so much and I couldn't even get out of bed, but I didn't take anything other than drinking a Coke (for the caffeine) and tried to sleep as much as possible. My doc told me not to take Excedrin during the first trimester, but it was ok to take extra-strength tylenol (only if I really needed it). I just didn't like the idea of taking medicine unless I really, really had to. But trust me, the migraines were long and painful and I'm shocked that they passed without me taking a thing. So, it's completely up to you and how you feel about taking the meds. Migraines are very painful so I completely understand about wanting to take something!

Kelly, she is beautiful!!!!

I am 10 weeks along. She advised against excedrine in the 1st and 3rd Trimester because of the Aspirin in it. She put me on Fioricet, which is basically tylenol with caffeine and a barbituate. She said it is safe in early pregnancy but if I have to rely on it heavily in the 3rd trimester then the baby runs the risk of going through withdraw symptoms after birth. I have only used it for this one headache because I was in SUCH agony, I hope to never have to use it again, I just don't know what my other options are and she says this is the safest to start with if tylenol is not enough. I am sorry to hear about your headaches. Did they just start? It is very frustrating to not to know what causes them. I have had so many tests and they still can't explain it. The only thing that ever turned up was a pituitary tumor when I had an MRI of the brain, but they said it was not causing the headaches and just brought a whole new set of issues of its own. I hope you find some answers and relief.

Mrs Martin - thank you for your reply. I wish I could go without meds altogether, atleast while I am pregnant, but sometime the pain is just to much and when it keeps me from functioning in every aspect of my life I feel like I have to do something. I just never want to do anything to hurt the baby.
