Mommies to be check in

yeah, working out didn't work out so well for me either. I was really sick through 22 weeks and if I walked or did the eliptical for even 20 minutes I'd vomit. So... yeah, that stopped. Now that I feel better (or can at least control the vomitting) it's REALLY hard to get back into it. I'm extremely winded after just walking five feet! It's ridiculous what carrying around an extra 30 pounds will do to you! Plus, you are already breathing twice as hard to produce the extra oxygen needed for the baby... so if you aren't working out from the start, it's just too much.

So, just keep going with your routine and hopefully you'll be one of the lucky ones who isn't sick or told they can't do any activity until 12 weeks and you'll be good to go!

Hey ladies...I just needed to come and vent. I'm so upset...but also so happy I only have 3 weeks go til my due date. I got put on bed rest today sad.gif I was supposed to go for my regular weekly check up tomorrow but had extremely swollen feet this morning and didn't think that was normal that early in the morning so got in today and my blood pressure is up quite a bit from last week but my urine is still clear. So I have to go back in on Friday to make sure it's all still under control. He's a bit worried about toxemia but thinks that more likely I could be going into labour sooner than we think. Apparently sometimes before labour your blood pressure goes up and swell more but urine stays clear....So hopefully that's what's going on and I don't develop toxemia!

Kelly good luck at your ultrasound! Sorry to hear you're having trouble controlling your numbers, that is not fun!

I just wanted to let you know Summer, that I had toxemia at the end of my pregnancy with Katie. She was born on time (well four days before the due date), and apart from being undernourished she was fine. She was followed by a pediatrician for a few months to keep a check on her weight. Trust me, she's doing just fine at 25 this year :)

Follow the doctors instructions. Take it easy and try not to stress about things!

Good luck :)

Summer, no worries just listen to what they say. I got induced a week before my due date and she was fine 8 lbs 2 oz and 21 inches. So Im glad they took her then I cant imagine if she got any bigger.

And guess what I just got home fromt the doc and my blood pressure is up. 122 over 88. So I have been told to behave myself. He says he wants me to atleast get to 37 weeks. I have to go and have an u/s on monday and an office visit on Thursday. Oh the fun begins...

Congrats Bisha, Gavin is adorable!!!!!

Hey ladies!!!!! Hope everybody and their LO's are doing well. I've been so busy since I stopped working last week. It's like I've been doing something everyday. But my son is loving it, he gets to hang with mommy all day.

I had my babyshower last sunday and we got everything we needed. I'll post pics when I upload them on my computer. We actually had to take a couple of things back because we got duplicates. So we are all set, and we didn't even buy anything except my breast pads and cream. Of course I wanted to buy some clothes but she has soooooo much I didn't want to waste money.

I went for my appt the other day and realized she is now in a breech position, she was head down 2 weeks ago so she managed to turn. I'm a little bummed so I'm doing whatever I can to turn her. If she's still breech by my next appt they will discuss my options. In other words, the easiest thing for them to do would be a c-section.

Well that's the latest on me.

Summer- How have you been feeling so far? Sorry to hear that you were put on bed rest. But, like someone else stated, take advantage and just enjoy doing nothing because you will not have that luxury when the baby comes! Good luck!

Kelly- Have you been behaving (as your doc put it) so your blood pressure won't rise again?!

Angel- congrats on getting everything at your baby shower; that must have been a relief for you! Can't wait to see pics!!

I have my first baby shower tomorrow and I'm really excited!! It's being hosted by my DH's side of the family and then 2 weeks later my mom is hosting one for me for our side of the family/friends. Then I have another one in July hosted by my friend at work. We don't have anything (besides a few onsies and a Halloween costume) for the baby yet, so anything is a blessing at this point!! Besides that, I'm feeling very well! Just starting to get some minor swelling in the feet/ankles by the end of the day, but nothing else going on.

How are the rest of the ladies feeling?!
