Congrats Mo! I am jealous! So much for nothing going on!!

 

I just got back from the doctor and I am only dialated to 1, and 50% effaced.

So, I go in for stress tests Friday, and if all is well I get induced on Tuesday- that is if it doesn't happen naturally before then!

Shea I was induced and was only in labor for 11 hours, I probably could have done it without an epidural if I had known that it would be ending soon, but I got an epidural at 7cm.

Has anyone had a membrane sweep? I had one with my daughter because I wanted it to happen before my induction date. So, I went to my doc apt on Tuesday and had one (It hurts so bad.. I screamed in the doctor's office!!) then I went into labour Wednesday early morning and had my daughter that night.

She supposedly swept my membranes today, but being only dilated to 1, I don't think it will work. It didn't feel any different than a normal exam either for me.

Oh yeah, maybe she didn't go deep enough.. You would DEFINATELY feel it!! I was 3 cm dilated and 0% effaced when I had mine, but I didn't feel anything until later on that night.

Yes, they are mandatory for those who DO NOT have an exemption form. I believe I know what case you are talking about where they herded the parents and children in with armed guns and dogs. In that case they were children and parents who did NOT have an up to date vaccine record or exemption form on file. I happen to live in an easy state. I fill out a box for personal reasons (philosophical) and I'm fine. So yes it depends on your state for how easy. But saying there's no way that some kids can't go to public school isn't true. If they have an exempt form they can.

I've weighed the risks of the vaccine and the disease and personally me and DH would not. So it's a personal decision. You sound like you did your research and that's why your delay vaxing. Informed consent is everything. And everyone should have informed consent and correct information.

And Congrats Mo on the birth of TJ. I remember just yesterday coming on here and you getting married at the RIU right before me. And now you have a baby. TIME FLIES!!!

and i better stay faaaarrrr away from Calias comments regarding vaccines because I have completely different views regarding people who choosing to obstain from vaccinating completely. I work daily with ill and special needs children and am up to date on lots of research and choose to step away quietly from this one-hahaha!
