Need info from Vancouver, BC girls!

hi gals, i know there are a few of you, hoping you could help. i just found out i dont have to work tomorrow so i'm thinking of flying the kids up there to bum around for a few hours, but i need to be cheap about it! how far away is the YVR airport from anything fun, cheap, and kid friendly? they have never been to canada and we have passports, since they are on spring break i thought it would be fun for them..?? any ideas?

Hmmm.. well YVR is about half an hour cab ride from downtown. Stanley Park is great for the kids and they have an aquarium there etc. It's at the west end of downtown Also downtown is the Telus World of Science which is great for kids as well..

how much is a cab that far?? i wonder if i could rent a car cheap, i'm gonna go check, thanks for the links!

I think a flat rate is like $35 bucks or something? I could be totally wrong about that though... I know there are buses that will go right downtown from the airport but depending on how much luggage you have you may not wanna do that..

awe that's really sweet of you! I love Vancouver, definitely one of my favorite cities. The aquarium is a good time. What's the weather supposed to be like? Just hanging out in Stanley park may be a fun option for them too!

TransLink - South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority is where our bus schedules come from.. too bad you aren't coming a tiny bit later when our skytrain system will be running out from the airport for downtown.. they are building them for the olympics.. but almost ready!!
