beach reception tip -- have a "shoe table"

I got a tip from my event planner friend to have a "shoe check" for my beach reception. She said that sometimes after drinks and dancing on the beach, people tend to lose their shoes.

 

We had a special table right before entering the beach reception where you could put your shoes before going into the sand. And when you left you could pick them up. It worked out well.

 

The funny thing was, I was the one that ended up losing her bridal shoes! They got buried in the sand! Luckily, the staff had dug them up and got them back to me.

That's a great idea! It would be cute to double place cards as shoe tags so guests an attach to their shoes if they choose to leave them at the "shoe table".. Hmm I may have another DIY project!

Cute idea, but I'm kind of superstitious and wouldn't put my shoes on a table. I'd have a shoe basket or something!

At least it's not their pants. Or maybe it's only my friends that do that after a few drinks.

Nonetheless, cute idea. I have no idea what people did with their shoes during the wedding. I have no idea if they even took them off!
