What plates did you register for?

I'm curious to know what plates you girls all registered for. I decided not to register for China b/c I know I will never use them and eventually my Grandmother will pass her's down to me. We were looking for nice everyday plates that also had a creamers, serving platters, sugar dish, ect. So we went with the Mikassa Swirl in white. What about you?

we registered for white pearl bone china from crate & barrel. we arent the formal fancy china types, but we did want something nice for entertaining.

We registered for both, jic. The china is not something I think we would use often, but Matt's family is pretty fancy and they use it. So I figured to register for it and we'll see what happens.

We registered for a very simple china pattern - Lenox Eternal. FI picked it out when we went to register. I'd actually walked right by it, and he picked it up and brought it over to where I was saying that he really liked it. I was totally shocked. He didn't get it until I explained that it was also my mom's china. We got a good laugh out of that one! Called my mom right from the store - she thought it was great and is now telling us that we'll inherit another 12 place settings when she's "done with it".

i will never use china either.....too many family members everything has to be buffet. so i went with the staccato set at crate and barrel. figure you can dress up plain white plates with anything!

But I may also add L'Object White Aegean limoges as another set. More beachy vs. modern.

we registered for 'good china' but weren't going to use it as good china b/c it's so simple. it's the nambe butterfly set. we found it and registered for it the week before my shower, so we only got one set and returned it.
