Kid's table at the reception

Recommended Posts

I want to put all kids that are going to come to my wedding at the separate table.

Let them have fun and fool around as much as they want. I bought some glow sticks, necklaces and rings.. Some funny character glasses and hats..

Now the questions is: how do I make it look like a part of the reception?

Iâ€m not going to put glass cylinder centerpieces full of water and marbles on their table.

I want to have a table “number†that says “kids table†instead of a number.

I mean Is that ok if itâ€s going to look completely different??

So the bottom line is I want their table to look fun but part of the wedding reception set up.

Am I making any sense?? smile35.gif

I will have a kids table too. This way they can color and play and not feel so stuffed or bored during speeches and first dance and of that stuff. it should look different. I will probably put them in the sand with buckets and things of that nature.

I am also considering a kids section for the wedding. Our tots are your 2-5 so a beach towel and buckets and they can play in the sand during the ceremony. A cute little roped area for them like a play pen almost

I think as if you keep the same color theme as the other tables, it won't look out of place at all. I was thinking of having a kids table. I was going to give them their own favor boxes with activities in it so they don't get bored. Also it will hopefully keep the toys contained. I was looking at these mini suitcases, and getting them in one of my wedding colors. They are too cute!

I love those suitcases!! too cute. I think the kids table will look great different, you could make it like a mini carnival, ie you could put a post in the centre and have ribbons come off it onto the table so they get a centrepiece but its unique! I think activities are the best way to keep them entertained and maybe a couple of disposable cameras as kids love to pretend they are grown up with cameras

We have 3 kids ( 8, 9, 9) then 2 teenagers. They will all be dispersed amongst the normal tables.  I hadn't thought to bring much for them to do as they are older and can dance/run around, etc. But may bring some travel games, coloring, etc.  We will have that anyways for them on the plane so will just ensure I ask someone to make sure they bring it along to the reception for me.

Also considering glow sticks for everyone, loL!

We will have about 18 kids- and we will be putting together 2 kids tables. decor will be geared toward kids and will look different than other tables. (Buckets of Lego as centrepiece etc)... Kids are a big part of our lives and we want them to have a blast at the reception, all those over 3 will be seated at the tables not with their parents. (We have two babies that of course will not be sat there and will sit with their parents)
