Walk for MS

Some of you may remember me asking for suggestions on how to help out my "little brother" Tristin and his family after someone robbed Tristin's mom while she was home?

 

Well here's a bit of an update...

 

On Friday afternoon Tristin's mom ended up in the hospital. Apparently there are like 10 stages of MS - 10 being death. She is at about 9-9.5, so they are not expecting her to come home and are looking into hospice care for her. We took Tristin out last night, and he's being brave but we could tell that he was really upset about all of this. Him and his brother and sister have been through so much in their short lives, and now they are about to lose their mother on top of it all.

 

She has progressed to the stage of the disease that most people reach after 10-15 years in only 5 years.

 

Jean-Anne was hoping to participate in the Supercities Walk for MS this year, but is obviously not able to now. This is a very special family who I love very much, and I have decided to raise pledges and walk in it myself. I am hoping to raise a minimum of $500 for this cause in honour of Jean-Anne, Tristin and their family.

 

I would really love it if some of you would be able to support me? It would really mean a ton to me.

Done. I think this is an amazing thing and I hope you raise lots and lots of money. You should put something on facebook as well, see if you can get more pledges that way. I did not give you $100, I wish I could afford that Good Luck.

Wow Melissa, you have had a HUGE heart this year! I walk every year for Hospice, they are great. I'm heading to your site now, I really don't know much about MS. Hugs to you and your brother.

Sometimes I think I have too huge of a heart LOL I want to help EVERYBODY all the time and sometimes I get in over my head...but this I can do

I didnt have much to donate, but did what I could..... There is no such thing as too big of a heart, you just compinsate for those who dont use theirs. I wish all the best of luck with the family. I couldnt imagine going through a situation like that, so kinda of you to help them.
