I pretty much finished my oot bags today, all 40 of them, yeahh!!!

I lucked out and found these great beach mesh bags at the dollar store. I got them in this great blue colour, and the other is a green colour. The colours are very beachy and compliment each other. I put in every bag, 18oz stainless steal personalized insulated travel mug, a beach motif travel candle, (the ones from Michaels that someone posted in another thread), pina coloda or Margarita's hand cream, bath salts, squisshy stress ball, coco butter lip balm, playing cards, travel first aid kit, water guns, and spanish phrases. As well as all of that I added to the 6 teen girls bags pens and notebooks. I added to all of our single friends bags condoms!

I did seperate childrens bags, for the 6 little ones, travel magna doodles, water balls, mini fish aquarium, squishy stress balls, water guns, lip balm, toy dogs for the girls, and sizzling magnets(?) for the boys, crayons and colouring books, and a couple of simple craft projects. For the older kids, Squisshy stress balls, magnets, playing cards, water guns, soduko books, note books, pens, lip balm, water discs, and underwater disposable cameras. I put the 6 little ones gifts in tote bags, Nemo for the boys, and pooh for the little girls.

The only problem I am having is I would like to add something to the mens bags, but I don't know what, any ideas?

My OOT Bags came!

I ordered 30 bags from stitchesandmore.com. The owner was really great and they got back to me right away on all my questions. I was under the impression the bags were only $3.18 each because of the way their website was worded (free digitized design).. because of the confusion, the owner honored that price!!

I told him I'd post his info on this site. If you inquire with him, please be sure to mention the BestDestinationWedding.com site. He may offer you a discount. There is no minium order and I like I said, they were really great about everything.

I had my logo digitized by a friend that I went to high school with. I think the cost for them to do is approx $50. The bags themselves are pretty nice. The only thing I was disappointed with was Matt's name.. My type was too small so the "tt" kinda looks like "ll". I also thought it was strange they embroidered the back of the bag instead of the front pocket, but I guess that was due to my logo size.

Overall I'm really excited to give these to my guests. Now I just have to work on the fillings. A friend at work suggested using tissue paper on the bottom of the bag to make it stand up and seem fuller. It's a bit big and there's no way I can fill it up so I think I'll use that suggestion.

Wow, those turned out great!!! They'll be the perfect size if they want to use them for towels when going to the beach - lots of room!!

Thanks for posting that info as well, that'll come in handy. Maybe you could start a new thread w/the info so anyone searching him doesn't have to go through all of these pages to find the info?

LOVE them! What a nice touch in having them embroidered too. They look like they cost you a lot more than $3.50 per bag (as I guess they were supposed to be more expensive, huh?) and I'm sure your guests will be totally impressed. I want to go out and get mine done right away now.

About making them look more full. What are you planning on sticking in them? From the ideas I've gotten on this forum, it's going to be tough not to overfill mine with snacks, necessities, etc...pinkie.gifpinkie.gif

I think they were suppose to be around $6/bag, but like said, the guy was great and totally willing to work with me. Obviously he still made some money and only charged me $3.18/bag.

So far I have beer koozies, chapstick, after-sun care, tylenol and immodium. We're also going to create a welcome letter and day of timeline. Matt says "no" to bringing squirt guns, but maybe I'll find frisbees or something. We're also working on maybe having hand painted shotglasses.
