I wouldnt use it as a purse or anything but its DEFINITELY nice enough for guests to use to take down to the pool or to the beach. And for the single guys, I am still giving them each one of these but of course they wont use them. They can give it away or chuck it since it was so cheap!!
In the bag, I am putting some water, maps, a welcome letter, some pesos for cab fare since I am not providing any transportation and then maybe some chapstick, chips, salsa, and our favor cd that has some songs that will be played at the wedding.
Nice bags. How much were they? Oh, I see. $1.00. I'll have to go looking.

Thanks! They were $1.25 per bag (Hobby Lobby, on sale), and 75cents worth of transfer paper each. So if you don't figure in time, or what I paid for the monogram, about $2 each.

I used my Lumapix Photofusion software to add my names onto the corner of the monogram Aylee made- talk about a HUGE PITA! Definitely have Aylee just make your monogram the way you want it the first time around...Jeff decided at the last minute he wanted our names on there.

And for the flowergirls - not 100% I like this, I was going to get them a smaller bag - but I think I have extra of these.

Ann, I think these are soooooo cute! I love the idea of doing the flowergirl bag. I agree that I'm not 100% sure on the font, but the idea is perfect!

lol, I did the same thing! I was trying to think of other ideas, like making one for me that said "bride" and one for my mom and his mom...He thinks I'm crazy!

Okay, so those of you that have been around for a while know that I'm a moron (like asking how to print the name and address on the custom luggage labels... duh, you slip the paper inside each one!!!)

Anyway, so, here I am again not understanding. The iron on transfer... how does that work? do you have to get someone to print iron on transfers with your design? or is there a special company that makes it? Or what?

The bags look great, and I'd like to do this, but I don't understand how.blush2.gif

no problem - i definitely didn't know anything about DIY projects before this DW! you just buy the transfer paper (I got mine at Office Depot or something), and then print your design on it like a regular piece of paper (has to be ink jet I believe, at least the paper I used). You do have to invert your image first or they'd come out backwards! the paper came w/great instructions.

anyway, then you take the paper, lay it down on your bag, and iron it on! quite easy actually.

that's how i did mine anyway.
