Hey, I have a few mins to spare at work so I thought I'd check in and answer some questions :) We love the place, and I cooked in the kitchen for the first time last night --- loved it.

the leaning bookshelves and desk are from crate & barrel, i bought them in 2005. i much prefer the newer models they have out now, but i cant afford to buy new furniture right now with the move and the wedding. hopefully i can update the bookshelves and desk in the fall.

To answer all of you wondering where I'm at, we live in River North at Chicago and Larrabee in one of the old Montgomery Ward factory buildings that was converted into condos. For you Chicagoans, across the street from our building to the north is Japonais, and across the street to the east is Brasserie Ruhlmann. We love love love the building and the location because of its proximity to our jobs. When I get settled enough, I will have you all over to hang out :)

To answer those of you who are so impressed with how quickly we unpacked -- I must say, we moved from the 7th floor of the building to the 6th floor, so we really didnt "pack" that much. Most of our stuff went into boxes and laundry baskets and then rolled down the hall to the elevator on a big furniture dolly my dad let us borrow. We did a room by room moving system, we started with the bedroom furniture, then the living room furniture, then the office. then we brought the books and everything else for the office in and put it where it went. then brought all the bathroom stuff and put it where it went. then the food from the kitchen cabinets and the dishes. then the closets. and it wasnt that bad of a move! i must say its probably the easiest I've ever done. Granted we had 2 people helping us.

i've been handling a lot of wedding stuff this week as well (thank god for email and paying with paypal or credit cards over the phone): ordered my veil, got the spanish invitation proofs back (will post later), got confirmation that my english invitations shipped today from white aisle (will post pics when they arrive), paid off my dress, ordered hair flowers (carly, i ordered an orange lily for you, will let you know updates as theyre available), ordered all my postage stamps for invitations and thank you notes, took random photos of things for my planning thread when i do it eventually! i think that might be it. Ok gotta run back to work, but I'll check in later!!
