Sorry but she needs a good kicking. I'd be saying to her at this point, look you obviously don't want to do it so don't worry i'm not counting you in and save the price of the dress cause you know she's gonna drop you in it! Then I'd unleash your mum lol

hahaha...ya, Hartyt. I'm gonna let my mother go after her. Lock them in a room together and just walk away. LOL

Heres another lil' tidbit to get ya laughing. She calls this afternoon. I'm at my kid's new preschool, so I don't answer at the time. But what message does she leave? "Oh, girl just wanted to call and let you know that Deal or No Deal is holding auditions close to us. Just thought this was something that might be your cup of tea!"

Umm...ok. My WEDDING is my "cup of tea" right now. I'm over it. I sent out emails to everyone including her today saying "Hey, here are the two dress options, final cut. For those of you who fell in love with the first dress, plan to wear it. For anyone who objects, dress #2 is your option. If you like it better, feel free to order at any time this next couple of months. If you don't like or feel uncomfortable with both dresses, I completely understand and won't hold a grudge if you fee strongly enough about it to not want to participate in the ceremony. By all means, come to the wedding and enjoy it all as a guest. Either way, its going to be a blast.

My other maids know the issues I'm having, so they will know just who I'm talking about. lol. Oh well.

I am just now catching up on this thread -- so perhaps what I am about to suggest has already been mentioned, but as your MOH, why not give her the option of picking another David's Bridal dress in the same color. My MOH has a different dress than the other BM's -- but in the same color.

I do agree with some of the others that strapless can be a very self-conscious thing for many people . Heck, I even kinda wish I hadn't picked a strapless wedding gown for myself now that I see the extra armpit fat that's impossible to get rid of.

Send her an email with a picture of the dress that says "deal or no deal- are you in my wedding or not?"

She might just be looking for a way out & you giving her an option to not be in the wedding might be just what she needed. If she is so uncomfortable with dresses & certain social situations, being a BM might be more than she can handle.

Just catching up...it's a sticky subject but bottom line is it's your wedding. All eyes will be on you, not her. I get where she is coming from but it's a little self-absorbed to think anyone who travels to Mexico to see you get married will be concentrating on her back fat. You have been very patient, I think she needs to get over it!
