RD Deposit/Refund

The saga continues...I spoke with WC about refunding my deposit and this is what she said...

 

"I'm sorry, I checked with Panchos and their policy is that no refund will be given. Please know that while an umbrella company owns both WIP and Pancho's we operate as separate companies, so just like all of the other vendors I give non-refundable deposits to, I gave them this non-refundable deposit with your confirmation and they are in receipt of that non-refundable deposit".

 

WTF - I told her that I would better understand this policy if the restaurant was going to incur a financial loss by my relinquishing my reservation, but I'm giving two months notice whicg gives them ample time to fill the spot...I really don't understand why the company is being such a hard ass about this...
