Please provide some input!

Hi Everyone!

 

My fiance and I are planning our wedding for 2009 and have looked at the following resorts:

 

1.) Gran Bahia Principe

2.) Melia Caribe

3.) Iberostar Bavaro

 

Has anyone been to any of these resorts or have had their wedding there? Which would you pick out of the 3?

I am not getting married in the D.R., but I can tell you that I originally was going to go with an Iberostar in Mexico then changed to Gran Bahia instead. I think the resort is nicer.....ave you compared them based on what you want, what you like?

I've been researching opinions on tripadvisor.com as well as their individual websites...both look great and offer different things...just going nuts trying to decide?

 

Forgot to add to the list- Grand Palladium resorts was another one that I was considering.

i haven't been to any of those either, but the melia caribe was my runner up.

Well I'm an Iberostar bride myself so you know what i'm going to say!

Gran Bahia had some things I liked, too.

I was at the Gran Bahia Principe a couple years ago with my family and it was a fantastic resort. No Complaints at all. We even seen a couple weddings happen on the beach and they looked lovely.

I am a fan of the Melia because my FH and I love their gazebo and the grounds. Although, I have seen photo's from a wedding at the Gran Bahia and it's gorgeous too. They all are.

 

For us, to make the final decision, it came down to onsite facilities and price because we have a wide range of ages for our guests and some guests with tight budgets. Regardless of where you choose it will be beautiful.

I'm getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe in 16 days! i will post a FULL review when I get back. But, so far I love the resort...
