Marriage Certificate/Insurance

Hi,

 

I was just wondering if anyone moved over to their husband's insurance after the wedding and if you needed the marriage certificate to do so? I'm getting married at the Riu Negril in Jamaica and they say it takes 3 to 4 months to receive the certificate, is this true?

I'm not sure how it works. I know it all gets more difficult when you are married out of country.

do you mean health insurance? if so, i think it depends on the state you are in. ask him to check with his HR dept

yeah, health insurance (in CO). we'll check w/ them.

I would check with your health insurance and the state you're in. I didn't have to give them proof of marriage, all he told his hr was that he was married and that was it LOL.
