ok i talked to jose about the vow renewal thing, and he immediately said no. he said its totally not their style, they will be completely embarassed and that his dad would totally kill him for it. im not really convinced that his mom wouldnt like it, but if thats what he says, it has to be something else.

 

i feel like there really is no gift large enough or appropriate enough for them and i dunno what to do. ffil already has a pocketwatch, and fmil wont wear a locket because its totally not her style. goddddddd. who woulda thought buying for your inlaws was sooooo hard! i appreciate the ideas gals, keep em coming if you come up with anything!

I think buying gifts for people is sometimes one of the hardest things!

its hard to do a weekend away for them first because they live in mexico. everywhere they like to go, they have friends who have houses where they can stay. we definitely want it to be something they can enjoy together, so a spa day is only something his mom would enjoy.

this is so freakin hard. i usually am so good and finding gifts for them.

I like the idea of flying them out to Chicago and maybe getting them a really nice hotel while they visit you. Or maybe another place in the states like vegas (they can watch a show like the beatles cirque de soliel or mama mia).

This might sound small too? I am buying the mothers and grandma a spa package from Suzanne Morel the day before the wedding to help them relax. When I figure out more I will let you know?
